The Arab Institute for Industrial and Mining Training and Consultancy, affiliated with the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining, organized a training course from 4–14 August 2025 entitled: “Artificial Intelligence and Smart Transformation in the Industrial and Mining Sectors.” The course witnessed broad participation from entities related to the Organization’s fields of work across 13 Arab countries.
These included: the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Iraq, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Lebanese Republic, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Republic of Yemen.
Over the course of seven days, the program addressed a range of key topics and themes, including: artificial intelligence and its transformative revolution; the benefits and challenges of AI; AI applications in production sectors; AI applications in service sectors; smart transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); simple and free AI tools for small enterprises (Part I); simple and free AI tools for small enterprises (Part II); and a future roadmap outlining the final outcomes and the proposed implementation plan.
